Terms of Service
Last updated: May 11, 2026
1. Welcome
These terms form a legal agreement between you and MetricPoint, Inc. ("MetricPoint", "we", "us") governing your use of our website, broker materials, and the three apps in the MetricPoint benefit: Foodsage, SafaScan, and LabelBaby (together, the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to these terms.
2. What MetricPoint does
MetricPoint bundles three AI-powered safety scanners into one employer-funded benefit:
- Foodsage — autoimmune and dietary sensitivity screening for food products.
- SafaScan — halal verdicts (Halal, Mushbooh, Haram) with ingredient explanations.
- LabelBaby — allergen detection, age-appropriate ingredient analysis, and FDA recall alerts for parents.
3. Informational use only — not medical or religious authority
Verdicts, scores, and warnings are best-effort guidance based on ingredient data and, where applicable, scholarly opinion across major madhabs. Manufacturers can change recipes without notice and certifications vary by region. Always verify the physical label and, where the matter is critical, consult a pediatrician, allergist, or your own scholar. MetricPoint is not a substitute for professional or religious judgement.
4. AI accuracy
We use AI (including GPT-class models) to extract and interpret ingredient text. While we strive for high accuracy, AI can make mistakes — text may be misread and ingredients may be misclassified. Always verify the physical label before consumption, especially for known allergies or strict dietary requirements.
5. Eligibility & accounts
You must be 18 or older to create a MetricPoint account (13+ for SafaScan personal use). You're responsible for the accuracy of any profile information (age, allergens, dietary preferences) and for keeping your sign-in credentials secure.
6. Employer-provided access
When you redeem a company access code, your employer is funding the Service on your behalf for the duration of their agreement with us. If your employment ends or your employer's MetricPoint contract is terminated, your employer-funded access ends — but your account, scan history, and personal preferences remain yours and you can continue with a personal subscription if available.
Your employer never sees your individual usage. We share only aggregate engagement metrics (see the Privacy Policy).
7. Personal subscriptions
Where personal subscriptions are offered, they're billed through Apple or Google and auto-renew until cancelled. Cancel any time from your device's subscription settings; refunds are handled by Apple or Google according to their policies. Core safety features — including FDA recall alerts in LabelBaby — remain available without a paid personal subscription.
8. Broker & employer partnerships
Broker and employer agreements are governed by a separate Master Services Agreement. Pricing tiers shown on this site are indicative; the binding pricing for any given employer is the one in their executed agreement. Annual fees are non-refundable except as expressly set out in the MSA.
9. Acceptable use
Don't reverse engineer, scrape, resell, or attempt to disrupt the Service. Don't use MetricPoint to mislead others about a product's safety or halal status, and don't share company access codes outside the workforce they were issued to.
10. Intellectual property
MetricPoint, Foodsage, SafaScan, LabelBaby, our logos, scoring frameworks, and content are owned by us or our licensors. Your scan history and profile preferences are yours. You grant us a limited licence to process them solely to deliver the Service.
11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, MetricPoint will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the Service is limited to the amount paid (by you or your employer) for your access in the 12 months before the claim.
12. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in-app and by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the new terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, except where local consumer law gives you a non-waivable right to a different venue.
